You can’t tell from this close-up if we’ve got a Jack or a Jill, but in the wider shots it was pretty clear that he was she. They always warn you that sometimes seeing nothing also means nothing and that come delivery day you may find out that you unwisely painted the room pink when it should have been blue. I’m not holding my breathe hoping that a little package pops up on our little bundle of joy when it finally arrives.

I’m not sad that its not a boy. I am also not afraid to admit that I’m pretty damn scared about raising a girl. But, for right now, I’m just overjoyed that everything looks like it is in the right place and there is no cause for alarm or concern about the baby’s health.

There will be plenty of time in the near future to worry about raising a girl. Now, I just want to bask in the excitement and then start thinking of names.
